Tom Kranz's printing career started while he was in grade school serving as a "printer's helper" for his dad, Wimpy. Tom would return the used type slugs to their appropriate storage cases when the print job was finished. Just like his dad, printer's ink got in his blood.

It was when Wimpy made the shift to offset printing that Tom was fascinated and felt the tug to make printing his career focus.

Though he had been "working" alongside his dad for years, it wasn't until Tom graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis in 1975 that he officially began his career with Graphic Design, Inc. Today, Tom holds an ownership share in the family-owned and operated company. His primary role is that of Production Manager, but his day-to-day involvement deals with all aspects of management of the company.
